First benefit and the main one: Edit your YouTube Music Artist Page and have it sync with your YouTube channel! With your OAC, you will be able to add a description, a profile picture, and more!
With an OAC, you will also be able to get a cool badge next to your channel name across YouTube!
You will also be able be able to unlock the community posts option without needing 1,000 subscribers! You may have to wait a few weeks after getting upgraded to OAC before you unlock this feature, but it is worth the wait! Bye bye discussion tab!

As YouTube says:
"To be eligible for an Official Artist Channel, make sure you already have a YouTube channel that you own and operate and have at least 3 official music videos on YouTube delivered from a music distribution partner" (That's us!)
If you have not already distributed 3 songs, submit some songs on your Artist Dashboard and come back when you receive an email that they have been distributed!
Once you are eligible to get an official artist channel, you will need to find your automatically generated topic channel and copy the link ("Artist Name - Topic"; usually you can get your YouTube music profile URL and remove the "music." from the URL to get your topic channel)
You will also need to copy the link to yout YouTube channel you own that you would like to upgrade to an OAC!
Once you got those links, paste them into an email to artist-support@youtube.com you will need to make sure you send the email from the email of the Google account owning your channel you wish to upgrade to OAC! Tell them that you have distributed 3 songs and that those are your channel links and they will respond to you in a few days with more information!
Once you are accepted for the OAC upgrade, it may take 2-6 weeks for your channel to be completely upgraded!
